Manufacturing Engineering Intern Summer 2026

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will work with design, production, and quality teams at Rocket Lab to develop and qualify processes for making rocket engines while gaining practical experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaborate with mentors and team members to apply engineering concepts.
• Solve real challenges in manufacturing processes.
• Attend 1:1 meetings with mentors for guidance and progress updates.
• Participate in tech talks and networking events with other interns and employees.
• Contribute to development projects and collaborate across teams.
• Apply knowledge gained from engineering courses to real-world applications.
• Support the manufacturing team in achieving production goals.

• Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in engineering, physics, or math.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• At least 3 months of applied engineering experience.
• Ability to thrive in a high-performing team environment.
• Hands-on experience with welding and assembly or machining preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 weeks.
