Responsibilities
- Contribute to design reviews with expertise in design for manufacture and test.
- Perform Value Stream Mapping Exercises and create Method of Manufacture plans.
- Implement factory layouts and equipment selection for production.
- Develop and document production processes and testing procedures.
- Collaborate with the quality team to address engineering quality issues.
- Design and implement tooling and equipment to enhance production quality and efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools and techniques.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace engineering, or similar.
- Understanding of fluid and structural mechanics fundamentals.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for aerospace materials.
- 2+ years of experience for Manufacturing Engineer II role.
- Experience with assembly and testing of turbomachinery and combustion devices is preferred.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes such as CNC machining and welding.
- Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed based on test and launch schedules.
