Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of mechanical, structural, and thermal engineers.
- Guide technical development across the Space Vehicle Design team.
- Perform functional management duties, including performance reviews and career development support.
- Provide technical mentorship and ensure the integrity of team contributions.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams for smooth project interfaces.
- Iterate design concepts with engineers and test engineers, focusing on manufacturability and integration.
- Develop and maintain design and analysis standards and documentation processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.
- 12+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience in spacecraft/satellite design.
- 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter, CAD, drafting, and GD&T.
- Proven success in bringing spacecraft hardware from concept to launch.
- Experience in spacecraft structural dynamics and environmental testing.
