Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of mechanical, structural, and thermal engineers.
- Guide and mentor team members while working on spacecraft development programs.
- Communicate technical strategies and work cross-functionally with other engineering teams.
- Perform functional management duties, including performance reviews and career development support.
- Develop and maintain design and analysis standards, documentation templates, and test specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to iterate design concepts focusing on manufacturability and integration.
- Ensure smooth interfaces and handoffs within the greater Space Systems organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 12+ years of engineering experience, specifically in spacecraft/satellite design.
- 3+ years of experience in a team lead or managerial role.
- Expertise in Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and CAD drafting.
- Proven experience in bringing spacecraft hardware from concept to launch.
- Direct experience with spacecraft assemblies and environmental testing.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
