Responsibilities
- Develop high-power electrical circuits such as LLC, dual active bridge converters, flyback, PFC, and DC/AC inverters.
- Perform topology selection trade studies.
- Design circuits, select components, create schematics, and handle PCBA layout and thermal design.
- Analyze and simulate circuits and components using tools like Matlab and PLECS.
- Interact with suppliers on critical component designs.
- Test prototype power electronics circuits in the lab.
- Characterize power semiconductor devices including Silicon, SiC, and GaN.
Job Requirements
- Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering or higher, specializing in power electronics.
- Expertise in high power EV chargers or energy storage related power converters.
- Deep understanding of power semiconductor switches and diodes.
- Strong experience in designing and analyzing inverter and converter circuits.
- Knowledge of embedded control of power electronic circuits.
- Experience with bidirectional AC/DC or DC/DC power conversion.
- Proficiency with software tools such as Spice, PLECS, Mathcad, and Matlab.
