Responsibilities
- Develop high-power electrical circuits including LLC, dual active bridge converters, and DC/AC inverters.
- Perform topology selection trade studies for power electronics.
- Design circuits, create schematics, and conduct PCBA layout and thermal design.
- Analyze and simulate circuits using tools like Matlab and PLECS.
- Test prototype power electronics circuits in the lab.
- Engage with suppliers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Systems, and Test Engineers.
- Characterize power semiconductor devices such as Silicon, SiC, and GaN.
Job Requirements
- Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in power electronics.
- Expertise in high power EV chargers or energy storage related power converters.
- Strong understanding of power semiconductor switches and diodes.
- Experience designing inverter and converter circuits, including gate drivers.
- Proficiency with embedded control of power electronic circuits.
- Familiarity with software tools such as Spice, PLECS, and Matlab.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
