Responsibilities
- Develop high-power electrical circuits (e.g., LLC, dual active bridge converter, flyback, PFC, DC/AC inverter).
- Perform topology selection trade studies.
- Design circuits, select components, create schematics, and manage PCBA layout and thermal design.
- Analyze and simulate circuits and components using tools like Matlab and PLECS.
- Interact with suppliers on critical components design.
- Test prototype power electronics circuits in the lab.
- Characterize power semiconductor devices including Silicon, SiC, and GaN.
Job Requirements
- Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 3 years or higher specializing in power electronics.
- Expertise in high power EV charger or energy storage related power converters.
- Deep understanding of power semiconductor switches and diodes.
- Strong experience in designing and analyzing inverter and converter circuits.
- Knowledge of embedded control of power electronic circuits.
- Experience using software tools such as Spice, PLECS, and Matlab.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
