Responsibilities
- Develop high-power electrical circuits such as LLC, dual active bridge converter, flyback, and DC/AC inverter.
- Perform topology selection trade studies.
- Design circuits, including component selection, schematics, PCBA layout, and thermal design.
- Analyze and simulate circuits and components using tools like Matlab and PLECS.
- Interact with suppliers on critical component designs.
- Test prototype power electronics circuits in the lab.
- Engage with various engineering teams including Mechanical, Systems, Test, and Quality.
Job Requirements
- Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in power electronics.
- Expertise in high-power EV charger or energy storage related power converters preferred.
- Strong understanding of power semiconductor switches and diodes.
- Experience designing and analyzing inverter and converter circuits.
- Knowledge of embedded control of power electronic circuits.
- Experience with bidirectional AC/DC or DC/DC power conversion.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Spice, PLECS, and Matlab.
