Responsibilities
- Develop high-power electrical circuits such as LLC, dual active bridge converter, and PFC.
- Perform topology selection trade studies.
- Design circuits, create schematics, and conduct thermal and regulatory compliance considerations.
- Analyze and simulate circuits using tools like Matlab and PLECS.
- Interact with suppliers for critical component design.
- Test prototype power electronics circuits in the lab.
- Characterize power semiconductor devices including Silicon, SiC, and GaN.
Job Requirements
- Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 3 years or higher degrees in power electronics.
- Expertise in high power EV charger or energy storage related power converters.
- Strong experience in designing inverter and converter circuits.
- Knowledge of embedded control of power electronic circuits.
- Experience with software tools such as Spice, PLECS, and Matlab.
- Familiarity with FEA simulation tools like Ansys Maxwell/Q3D.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
