Responsibilities
- Iterate motor designs between electromagnetic design and manufacturing.
- Drive decisions on motor type, winding technology, and materials.
- Design and select speed and temperature sensors.
- Conduct linear static stress analyses for various systems.
- Create 3D models of components like stators and rotors.
- Execute design verification processes to validate requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition designs to production.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency with CAE analysis software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus).
- Strong knowledge of motor design variables affecting performance.
- Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes for motor fabrication.
- Experience with Matlab and/or Python.
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses.
- Proficiency in mechanical integration and documentation.
- Strong understanding of material properties and mechanics.
