Responsibilities
- Motor design iteration between electromagnetic design and manufacturing.
- Driving decisions on motor type, winding technology, and materials.
- Designing and selecting speed and temperature sensors.
- Conducting linear static stress analyses for systems.
- Designing and modeling components like stators and rotors.
- Executing design verification processes and maintaining DFMEAs.
- Collaborating with suppliers and other engineering teams.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency with CAE analysis software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus).
- Strong knowledge of motor design variables and material properties.
- Experience with high volume manufacturing processes for motors.
- Familiarity with Matlab and/or Python.
- Knowledge of PLM systems and GD&T.
- Experience in mechanical integration and assembly.
- Strong analytical skills in statics, dynamics, and mechanics of materials.
