Responsibilities
- Lead motor design iteration and decisions on motor components.
- Conduct speed and temperature sensor design and selection.
- Perform linear static stress analyses for systems.
- Design and model components like stators and rotors.
- Execute design verification processes and maintain DFMEAs.
- Create drawing packages and manufacturing instructions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for prototype and production integration.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency with CAE analysis software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus).
- Strong knowledge of motor design variables and material properties.
- Experience with high volume manufacturing processes for motor fabrication.
- Familiarity with Matlab and/or Python.
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical integration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work collaboratively across engineering disciplines.
