Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components for automotive lighting systems.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models of lighting components and assemblies.
- Conduct packaging and feasibility studies to ensure component fit within vehicles.
- Select appropriate materials based on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Apply GD&T principles for proper fit, function, and assembly of components.
- Manage supplier relationships and collaborate across teams for project success.
- Support production launch and address any mechanical issues during manufacturing.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-3+ years of experience in exterior/interior lamp development.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably CATIA V5/V6.
- Ability to manage the full part lifecycle from design to production.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience with thermal management and structural design principles.
- Familiarity with validation testing and compliance regulations.
