Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and release exterior components for Rivian models.
- Expand knowledge in various manufacturing processes like injection molding and over-molding.
- Collaborate with the studio team to ensure high-quality design surfaces.
- Utilize first principle-driven design to develop effective exterior components.
- Communicate with cross-functional groups to manage parts and processes.
- Create CAD concepts and detailed 2D sections during development.
- Work with teams to solve design problems and meet system requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–2 examples of design internship experience preferred.
- Proficiency in CATIA v5/v6 or similar CAD software.
- Hands-on experience in the design-through-manufacturing process.
- Skills in generating 3D geometry and sectional data.
- Strong analytical thinking and communication skills.
- Proactive approach to prevent issues and improve project outcomes.
