Responsibilities
- Own at least one project from conceptual design to installation on the development aircraft.
- Participate in the design, testing, and integration of mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team and report to the mechanical engineering manager.
- Engage in cradle-to-grave hardware ownership and hands-on build processes.
- Contribute to high-priority projects that enhance automated flight systems.
- Apply mechanical engineering fundamentals in practical scenarios.
- Utilize CAD software and FEA packages for design and analysis.
Job Requirements
- Junior or Senior standing in a mechanical engineering degree program or equivalent experience.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals (statics, dynamics, materials).
- Experience with NX or similar CAD software and FEA packages.
- Demonstrated passion for mechanical or electromechanical hardware.
- Hands-on application of mechanical systems through classes, clubs, or hobbies preferred.
- Ability to design and operate mechanical test stands.
- Excellent measurement, technical writing, and data analysis skills.
