Responsibilities
- Design and build critical launch infrastructure and Ground Support Equipment.
- Oversee the entire life cycle of projects from conceptualization to implementation.
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines and teams.
- Perform CAD work (NX) and conduct FEA Analysis (Nastran and/or ANSYS).
- Write and review procedures for testing and using designed equipment.
- Work with in-house and external fabrication companies for part production.
- Manage multiple projects while ensuring alignment on high-level objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent).
- 7+ years of experience in a full cycle design engineering role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (NX, Creo, Solidworks, CATIA).
- Experience in structural analysis and hand calculations.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage technically complex projects and adapt to changing requirements.
- Familiarity with motion control mechanisms and GD&T.
