The Power Systems Engineer II – Launch & Recovery at Relativity Space is responsible for leading electrical project construction activities for launch and recovery facilities, working on electrical systems, and collaborating on the development of recovery systems for the Terran R rocket.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical project construction activities for launch and recovery facilities.
- Work on electrical systems across voltages ranging from 22.5 kV to 120 V.
- Support power generation and control, power distribution and protection, sequencing of operations, and fault recovery.
- Develop construction drawings, requests for proposals, bid packages, and bid evaluations.
- Manage subcontractor selection and management.
- Design electrical systems and provide design requirements for other disciplines.
- Collaborate with management on the development of recovery systems for the Terran R rocket.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional experience in the marine or construction industry with electrical systems.
- Experience applying electrical engineering principles to projects in industrial or infrastructure environments.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with DoD, USAF/USSF, ABYC, and/or NASA standards (nice to have).
- Prior experience in aerospace (orbital launch vehicle) or marine sectors (nice to have).
- Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government.
