Responsibilities
- Develop and execute CFD analyses for vehicle entry stability and control.
- Validate CFD approaches and establish best practices for flight phases.
- Scope and develop aerodynamics databases for ascent and entry.
- Design major Terran R system elements to meet control and stability criteria.
- Mentor hardware engineers to ensure compliance with aerodynamics requirements.
- Enhance tools for developing and communicating aerodynamics data.
- Manage documentation and communication of analyses and recommendations.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in compressible flow.
- Practical engineering experience from projects or internships.
- Experience in solving technical problems in teams.
- Familiarity with Python or Matlab.
- Exposure to industry-standard CFD tools like FUN3D or Star-CCM+.
- (Nice to have) Graduate degree in engineering or related field.
