Responsibilities
- Technical lead for the architecture, design, implementation, and testing of automated battery sorting systems.
- People lead for a cross-functional team of engineers, focusing on growth and mentorship.
- Build a strong team culture centered on safety, execution, and innovation through data-driven engineering.
- Collaborate with product, finance, operations, and engineering teams to iterate on system requirements.
- Make decisions on make versus buy for hardware and software components.
- Author requirements for a reliable and accurate production sorting system.
- Own the technology roadmap for automated sorting systems at the company.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Engineering with 10+ years of engineering and leadership experience.
- Proficiency across hardware and software stacks in robotics or automation industries.
- Knowledge of machine/automation components, sensors, vision systems, actuators, and control systems.
- Ability to work in challenging conditions and maintain punctual attendance.
- Occasional travel and ability to work weekends or nights as needed.
- Familiarity with safety standards and productivity requirements.
- Strong decision-making and collaborative skills.
