Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical development and design support for RF amplifiers, sub-systems, and chassis/LRUs.
- Implement product development plans to meet requirements, schedule, and cost goals.
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs; maintain bill of materials (BOM).
- Derive and implement thermal control solutions for electronics.
- Conduct FEA thermal, shock, and vibration analysis of circuit board assemblies and structures.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings and perform tolerance analysis using GD&T.
- Direct junior Engineers, Designers, and Technicians as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ mechanical design experience for aerospace and military customers.
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional engineering team.
- Proven ability to work with limited supervision and meet technical, schedule, and cost goals.
- Experience with FEA thermal and structural modeling and tools like Solidworks, Ansys, and Flotherm.
- Familiarity with military and aerospace specifications, including environmental requirements.
