Senior Engineer - Electric Reliability Planning

Responsibilities

  • Monitor electric distribution system reliability performance at the circuit level.
  • Perform reliability studies and system analysis using tools like Synergi.
  • Develop distribution system improvement projects and utility infrastructure solutions.
  • Scope microgrid solutions for enhanced reliability and resiliency applications.
  • Identify and scope Distribution Automation Fault Location, Isolation, and Service Restoration (DA-FLISR) projects.
  • Collaborate with PSE's Grid Modernization team to implement new technologies.
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate the work of junior engineers and other technical staff.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or PE license in electrical, mechanical, civil, or other appropriate engineering field.
  • Substantial experience in planning, design, and technical field work (typically 8 or more years).
  • Strong organizational, documentation, prioritization, and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working within the utility industry (desired).
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering License (desired).
  • Knowledge of engineering economics and utility accounting practices (desired).
