Responsibilities
- Interprets and modifies guidelines for application to existing problems or processes.
- Prepares complex designs, standards, studies, and analyses.
- Provides detailed design reviews of technical documents.
- Prepares cost estimates and evaluations for project alternatives.
- Plans and develops project budgets with appropriate documentation.
- Ensures compliance with codes, standards, and design requirements.
- May lead or coordinate the work of junior engineers and other staff.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or PE license in an appropriate engineering field.
- Substantial experience in planning, design, and project management (typically 5+ years).
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience working in the utility industry (desired).
- Knowledge of engineering economics and utility accounting practices (desired).
- Familiarity with codes and equipment for utility systems (desired).
- Professional Engineering license (desired).
