Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot operational issues related to generator control systems and various power generation equipment.
- Propose recommendations for control system upgrades and design improvements.
- Manage projects from inception to close-out, including scope, budget, and schedule.
- Prepare specifications and evaluate proposals from vendors.
- Design and modify control system logic and instrumentation systems.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians.
- Support emergency response work as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or PE license in an appropriate engineering field.
- Experience in planning, design, and project management (typically 3+ years).
- Strong organization, documentation, and prioritization skills.
- Experience in thermal, hydro, wind, or solar generation plants is desired.
- Knowledge of Low and Medium Voltage electrical systems.
- Experience with generator and transformer maintenance and protective relay settings.
- Ability to acquire a Professional Engineering license.
