Responsibilities
- Design subassemblies and boxes for QC sub-systems in various environments.
- Conduct design reviews and maintain design flow to meet targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design finalization and assembly processes.
- Manage supply chain relationships for part verification and quality control.
- Oversee initial sub-assembly builds and related verification processes.
- Manage budget and resources, including hiring and tool licenses.
- Track project milestones and deliverables for both internal and external suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Experience managing opto-mechanical packaging teams in startups or large companies.
- Proficient in optical and photonics systems; cryogenic experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with opto-mechanical packaging suppliers and quality systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-group collaboration.
- Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Applied Physics.
- 15+ years of experience in thermal, mechanical, and optical problem-solving.
- Proficient in packaging tools (Solidworks) and simulation tools (Ansys).
