Responsibilities
- Support the Business Development team with proposals and mission concepts.
- Develop high-performance and lightweight satellite systems and mechanisms.
- Define mechanisms for modern satellite systems/buses.
- Own component designs from conceptual design through production and testing.
- Perform hand-calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for design decisions.
- Lead key component design, manufacturing, and test reviews.
- Create and maintain product definitions through CAD and production drawings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Experience with CAD modeling and drawing.
- U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements.
- Spacecraft/satellite design experience is preferred.
- Hands-on development and testing experience.
- Ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to designs.
