Responsibilities
- Develop Transmission and Distribution network models using pandapower (Python).
- Convert and validate existing network models from CYME and GE PSLF into pandapower equivalents.
- Ensure electrical fidelity between source models and converted models.
- Collaborate with NVIDIA engineers to develop Powerflow analysis solutions using GPUs and CUDA libraries.
- Assist in benchmarking CPU vs GPU performance for power system studies.
- Document modeling assumptions, validation results, and technical findings.
- Work collaboratively with power systems engineers, data scientists, and GPU/HPC specialists.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred).
- Strong foundation in power system analysis, including power flow and modeling.
- Hands-on experience with power system planning tools.
- Programming experience.
- Understanding of power system matrices (Y-bus, Jacobian, PTDF/LODF).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with pandapower or other power system frameworks is a plus.
