Camera Firmware Engineer, Consumer Devices

The Camera Firmware Engineer will be responsible for low-level camera enablement on custom hardware, developing and maintaining firmware and software for camera sensors, and ensuring robust and debuggable camera systems. The role involves hands-on work close to hardware and addressing real-world integration issues.

• Bring up new camera sensors and modules on prototype and production boards.
• Develop and maintain low-level camera software, including sensor drivers and board configuration.
• Enable and validate core capture paths for development and production.
• Stand up camera control and repeatability features for validation and debugging.
• Build and maintain camera bring-up tooling for issue reproducibility and triage.
• Partner with electrical engineering and systems teams for integration and stability.

• Deep experience in embedded camera systems, including sensor bring-up and driver development.
• Strong C/C++ experience with embedded or Linux-based systems.
• Hands-on understanding of camera hardware interfaces and bring-up realities.
• Proven track record of building reliable capture paths and effective debug workflows.
• Preferred experience with mobile or embedded SoC camera stacks and vendor frameworks.
• Familiarity with building higher-level capture pipelines on low-level camera enablement.
