Responsibilities
- Full design cycle ownership of airframe components, mechanisms, actuators, and electronics/turbine integration.
- Creation of 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings in CAD.
- Sizing components using hand calculations and FEA software.
- Working with vendors to source components.
- Hands-on assembly and integration of prototype aircraft.
- Performing bench tests of different subsystem components and models.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering fields with a few years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in designing mechanical flight hardware.
- Experience with lightweight structural composite components.
- Proficiency in CAD and PLM software, preferably NX / Teamcenter.
- Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Strong background in mechanics of materials.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
