Responsibilities
- Influence reliability early in the design process through DFMEAs and design reviews.
- Develop new reliability tests and specifications based on field usage conditions.
- Specify reliability risk and validation plans for components and subsystems.
- Run test/validation programs for custom designed modules.
- Lead failure analysis efforts on reliability tests and field failures.
- Analyze usage and environmental conditions to improve testing methods.
- Utilize reliability statistics to identify trends and provide risk snapshots.
Job Requirements
- Deep background in reliability prediction, FMEA, and failure analysis techniques.
- Good understanding of design of experiments theory and application.
- Experience in reliability engineering and testing of automotive hardware.
- Familiarity with automotive reliability standards and testing methods.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for testing and supplier locations.
- MS/PhD in relevant engineering fields is a bonus.
