Responsibilities
- Assist with injection mold process development, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
- Assist with injection mold validations (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Generate engineering documentation including procedures, Engineering Change Orders (ECO), CAD drawings, and metrology reports.
- Assist with molding cell equipment installations.
- Support the lead Plastics Processing Engineer with related tasks.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the department’s Plastics Process Engineer.
Job Requirements
- Plastics Engineering undergraduate student (preferably from UMass Lowell).
- Competent with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus.
- Knowledge of plastics injection molding is a plus.
- Mechanically inclined and capable with small hand tools.
