Responsibilities
- Design primary and secondary aircraft structural parts using metallic and composite materials.
- Lead and prepare engineering design solutions within an IPT environment.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to produce flight weight structures.
- Employ GD&T and Model Based Engineering (MBE) methods for airframe layouts.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and develop/document best practices.
- Interface with IPT/Program leadership and suppliers to solve engineering challenges.
- Conduct design and trade study efforts for aircraft structures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant STEM discipline with corresponding years of experience.
- Experience in designing composite aircraft parts/components and assemblies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Proficiency in NX Solid Modelling or similar 3D modeling software.
- Understanding of GD&T and MBE methods.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a goal-oriented mindset.
