Responsibilities
- Design primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies using metallic and composite materials.
- Lead and prepare engineering design solutions within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to produce flight weight structures.
- Employ GD&T and Model Based Engineering methods in airframe layouts.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and assist in developing best practices.
- Interface with IPT/Program leadership, suppliers, and customers.
- Conduct trade studies and develop advanced design solutions to technical problems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree and 3 years; or a PhD with no experience.
- Experience in designing composite aircraft parts and assemblies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Proficiency with NX Solid Modelling or similar software.
- Understanding of GD&T and MBE methods.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
