Responsibilities
- Design primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies using metallic and composite materials.
- Lead and prepare engineering design solutions and Product Definition Packages.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to produce flight weight structures.
- Employ GD&T and Model Based Engineering methods for airframe layouts.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and develop best practices.
- Interface with IPT/Program leadership and suppliers.
- Conduct trade studies for design and fabrication techniques.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline with 5 years of experience, or a Master’s with 3 years, or a PhD with no experience.
- Experience in designing composite aircraft parts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret clearance.
- Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Proficiency with NX Solid Modelling or similar 3D modeling software.
- Understanding of GD&T and MBE methods.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
