Responsibilities
- Responsible for mechanical design of new and mature medium caliber weapon systems.
- Ensure design meets standards for function, fit, and safety.
- Collaborate with design, project manufacturing, and quality engineers throughout the development process.
- Maintain adherence to Northrop Grumman’s engineering process from concept through production.
- Present work at design and technical reviews.
- Review engineering designs and drawings for tolerances, dimensions, and materials.
- Investigate and solve complex technical problems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with a preference for mechanical engineering.
- 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Experience with engineering simulation tools preferred.
- Self-motivated with hands-on work experience.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to work with tools and machinery.
