Responsibilities
- Design primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies using metallic and/or composite materials.
- Lead and prepare engineering design solutions in an Integrated Product Team environment.
- Collaborate with structural analysis, manufacturing, and materials teams to produce flight weight structures.
- Employ GD&T and Model Based Engineering methods for airframe layouts.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and document best practices.
- Interface with IPT/Program leadership, suppliers, and customers.
- Conduct trade studies and develop advanced design solutions to complex technical problems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience, or a Master’s degree with no experience.
- Experience in designing composite aircraft parts and installations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret government clearance.
- Preferred degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency with NX Solid Modelling or similar 3D modeling software.
- Understanding of GD&T and MBE methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
