Responsibilities
- Transform the surgical robot into a robust system for surgeries.
- Design testing infrastructure and fixtures to validate hardware.
- Identify and resolve reliability issues in the surgical robot.
- Provide guidance on design controls and transfer processes.
- Analyze data trends and debug hardware and software failures.
- Define maintenance and calibration schedules.
- Collaborate with the Robot Reliability and Test Team to ensure the robot is ready for human surgeries.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of engineering experience in testing and reliability.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Experience designing hardware in the loop test systems (preferred).
- Proficiency interfacing with sensors and motors (preferred).
- Coding experience in Python (preferred).
- Passion for solving problems and designing tests and fixtures.
