Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and validate systems for the implant and related hardware components.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes and equipment for in-house production.
- Scope, design, and iterate custom tooling and fixturing for the implant assembly line.
- Collaborate with Quality, Electrical Engineering, BCI Software, Microfabrication, and Surgery Engineering teams.
- Define system requirements, verification, and validation tests.
- Adhere to project schedules to ensure timely completion from inception to implementation.
- Contribute to projects at various stages from concept through production.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 6+ months of relevant academic coursework or project experience.
- 9+ months of experience applying technical skills outside the classroom (e.g., personal projects, prior internships).
- 1+ years of Mechanical Design experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with machining and rapid prototyping technologies (preferred).
