Responsibilities
- Design and build custom benchtop fixtures and electrical/mechanical assemblies for testing implant prototypes.
- Develop setups that mimic neural environments for testing.
- Establish and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assembly and testing.
- Integrate electrical and mechanical components for system validation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to create robust solutions.
- Iterate and generalize test platforms for future designs.
- Support algorithm development and automated data collection.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 6+ months of relevant academic coursework or project experience.
- 9+ months of applying technical skills outside the classroom.
- 1+ years of mechanical design experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: 1+ years of industry experience in mechanical engineering.
