Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and tune flight control algorithms for autonomous features.
- Integrate control laws with state estimation, sensor fusion, and computer vision.
- Test and validate algorithms in simulation and live flight environments.
- Collaborate with autonomy, perception, and embedded software teams.
- Own critical control primitives for advanced autonomy.
- Validate control algorithms in both simulation and hardware flight tests.
- Utilize proficiency in C++ and Python for real-time algorithm development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant engineering fields.
- 3+ years of experience in controls engineering for robotics or drones.
- Strong background in classical and modern control theory.
- Hands-on experience with PX4, ArduPilot, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with sensor fusion and state estimation techniques.
- Solid understanding of embedded real-time systems.
- Nice to have: PhD in a related field and experience with GPS-denied navigation methods.
