Responsibilities
- Design and develop specific applications using composite technology for robotic applications.
- Work with catheter/endoscope technologies including coiling, braiding, and laser cut hypotubes.
- Develop specifications, test methods, and protocols to ensure device safety and efficacy.
- Solve design problems at both component and system levels through testing and analysis.
- Build and test multiple generations of prototypes.
- Create and maintain Solidworks CAD models and detailed drawings.
- Present technical data in design reviews and generate ideas to strengthen the company's IP position.
Job Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing and design controls.
- Ability to generate original ideas and contribute to an IP portfolio.
- Proficient in SolidWorks.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and in a start-up environment.
- Strong desire to succeed and contribute to the company's goals.
