Responsibilities
- Design and build prototype mechatronic systems for research and product development.
- Integrate software and hardware, testing the integrated system in clinically relevant conditions.
- Analyze robot performance data using Python or other programming languages.
- Provide design input to hardware and software teams through data-driven systems analysis.
- Support clinical development labs and learn the clinical use case.
- Perform root cause analysis of robot bugs and failures.
- Design and build test fixtures.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate or Graduate student in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Hands-on experience with mechatronics and robotics fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Python or Matlab for scripting and data analysis.
- Basic understanding of brushless motors, sensors, and power transmission methods.
- Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS) and programming languages (C, C++).
- Bonus: Familiarity with SolidWorks and 3D printing for prototyping.
- Demonstrated desire to contribute in a medical device startup environment.
