Responsibilities
- Design solar PV systems, battery storage systems, off-grid microgrids, and electric vehicle charging systems (EVCS).
- Develop construction drawings and engineering specifications for projects.
- Create single-line and three-line diagrams in compliance with industry standards.
- Review and implement interconnection standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare interconnection application packages and perform system studies.
- Assess project sites for dimensions, electrical systems, and utility interconnection options.
- Write documents detailing facility improvement opportunities and solutions.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in distribution, utility, and DER interconnection.
- Familiarity with SKM or ETAP software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of PV system components and balance of systems.
- Ability to develop detailed equipment specifications and bills of material.
- Experience in managing system studies for protective device coordination.
- Excellent communication skills for responding to contractor inquiries and requests.
- Knowledge of safety standards and codes relevant to electrical engineering.
