Responsibilities
- Support and lead the development of engineering tools for the organization.
- Seek opportunities for improving capability and productivity through digital automation.
- Collaborate with the Chief Engineer on the technology roadmap and IR&D initiatives.
- Conduct conceptual design and sizing of new components and assemblies.
- Perform detailed analysis to optimize designs for production.
- Investigate root causes for anomalies during qualification testing.
- Create and review program deliverable documentation and production drawings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, Physics, or Math.
- 2+ years of experience in designing and analyzing components.
- Experience with finite element methods, vibration analysis, and fatigue evaluation.
- Proficiency in writing code in Python or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with ANSYS or other FEA tools.
- Experience building applications using MATLAB App Designer.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
