Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and inspiration to the engineering team to align with organizational goals.
- Manage the mechanical engineering team through planning, delegation, training, and performance review.
- Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Plan and execute mechanical engineering activities in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to meet departmental goals.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 10 years of design experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with electro-mechanical motion control and structural analysis in a regulated industry.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply logical or scientific thinking.
