Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of up to ten mechanical engineers.
- Provide technical mentoring and functional management.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to motivate and communicate with team members.
- Advocate for team members in staffing meetings and address technical and personnel issues.
- Collect annual feedback for compensation and promotion suggestions.
- Identify resource gaps and support hiring efforts, including conducting interviews.
- Ensure team alignment with company goals and direction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of work experience in a relevant role.
- Experience as a project lead or equivalent.
- Preferred 2 years of CAM (cost account manager) experience.
- Previous technical leadership experience, including mentorship.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance.
- Willingness to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
