Responsibilities
- Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in data center activities.
- Understand the design and functionality of the data center.
- Collaborate with IT and Critical Environments teams for 24x7 operations.
- Act as the technical authority for large-scale mechanical systems.
- Develop mechanical designs for new data center projects and major upgrades.
- Establish maintenance and safety procedures for cooling and backup electrical systems.
- Assist with supplier selection and oversee mechanical supplier execution.
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 1+ years of experience, OR Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience, OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
- Strong desire and capability to learn and develop new skills.
- Experience in data center operations and mechanical infrastructures.
- Knowledge of mechanical system design and functionality.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance procedures in data centers.
- Strong collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams.
