Manager - Quality Engineering

The Quality Manager at Microchip Technology Inc. is responsible for leading and developing QA teams that support site, customer, and manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and certifications.

• Manage site quality systems (QMS) development and continual improvement.
• Oversee customer failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct reliability activities during new product introduction and qualification planning.
• Complete in-process inspections and analyze manufacturing faults.
• Develop and implement new processes and provide training for personnel.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback and implement control plans.
• Report on quality standards and product issues to upper management.

• 10+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Four-year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with Six Sigma and LEAN methodologies.
• Familiarity with maintaining ISO9001 and AS9100 certifications.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and ensure adherence to legal and safety standards.
