Responsibilities
- Plan and execute research to advance textile-based actuation systems for soft robotics.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to prototype hardware and actuation control solutions.
- Run experiments to demonstrate advancements in textile-based actuators.
- Communicate research agenda and findings to interdisciplinary collaborators.
- Write and publish scientific articles.
- Engage in materials research, textile design, and mechanical characterization.

Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing or has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Textile Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Understanding of state-of-the-art textile-based actuation technologies.
- Experience with textile-based actuator prototyping and mechanical characterization techniques.
- Familiarity with soft robotics technologies and literature.
- Expertise in actuation control methods for soft robotics applications.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Intent to return to degree program after the internship.
