Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute research on textile-based actuation systems for soft robotics.
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers to prototype hardware and control solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Textile Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a relevant field.
  • Understanding of textile-based actuation technologies.
  • Experience with prototyping textile-based actuators and mechanical characterization techniques.
  • Must have work authorization in the country of employment.
  • Preferred familiarity with soft robotic technologies and 3D knitting.
  • Experience in cross-functional team environments.
  • Intent to return to degree program after the internship.
