Responsibilities
- Research and develop the next generation of soft wearable technologies.
- Collaborate with the Reality Labs team to provide solutions to challenges in soft wearables and sensing technologies.
- Design, prototype, and characterize novel wearable, acoustics-based sensors.
- Address fundamental scientific and engineering questions related to soft wearable technologies.
- Communicate or publish research activities and findings across various disciplines.
- Build groundbreaking prototypes for XR applications.
- Work with hardware engineers and software developers to advance technology.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Robotics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in hardware prototyping and soft wearable technologies.
- Strong systematic thinking and cross-group collaboration skills.
- Clear communication abilities.
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment.
- Preferred experience includes internships or contributions to open source projects.
- Knowledge of ultrasonics-based non-destructive evaluation is a plus.
