Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for robotics, ensuring ergonomics and performance.
- Collaborate with partners to support part fabrication and custom sub-assembly.
- Construct sub-assemblies and full system-level robot prototypes in the lab.
- Conduct failure analysis through testing, data measurement, and design refinement.
- Work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver technical solutions.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineering.
- BS degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in designing electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience with CAD tools like SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Familiarity with prototyping processes and materials.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and communication protocols.
- Experience in tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
