Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for robotics.
- Support parts manufacture and work with partners for custom sub-assemblies.
- Assemble robot prototypes in a lab setting.
- Conduct failure analysis and refine design assumptions through testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver solutions.
- Engage in initial concept development and analytical modeling.
- Research into Electro-mechanics, Sensor and Communication, and Planning and Control.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineering.
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in designing electromechanical assemblies (robotics, automotive, aerospace).
- Proficiency with CAD tools like SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Familiarity with prototyping processes and materials.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and communication protocols.
- Experience in tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
