Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for robotics.
- Support part fabrication and complex custom sub-assembly.
- Assemble robots and construct prototypes in the lab.
- Conduct failure analysis and refine design assumptions through testing.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers to deliver solutions.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineering.
- BS degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with electromechanical assemblies and CAD tools (e.g., SOLIDWORKS).
- Knowledge of prototyping processes and materials.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and communication protocols.
- Experience in tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Preferred: experience with finite element analysis and mass production manufacturing processes.
