Responsibilities
- Independently manage and deliver medium-complexity mechanical assemblies or subsystems.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external partners, including supply chain and manufacturing teams.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and failure analysis.
- Drive projects from early concept through prototyping, validation, and mass production.
- Provide technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and influence program strategy.
- Generate and manage technical documentation and specifications, ensuring clear communication across teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of industry experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in 3D/2D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, Creo).
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and statistical tolerance analysis.
- Working knowledge of various material properties.
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Testing and analysis experience (FEA, Simulation, Design of Experiments).
