Responsibilities
- Support overall NPI Build readiness and collaborate with cross-functional teams on material management.
- Assess sourcing opportunities and drive procurement processes with Contract Manufacturers and Engineering.
- Develop configuration plans with Hardware Engineering and partners to streamline manufacturing.
- Track NPI material spending against the engineering budget and manage excess and obsolescence (E&O).
- Conduct regular reviews to address material shortages with various teams.
- Manage day-to-day execution with external partners and escalate critical issues as needed.
- Oversee the transition of the supply chain from engineering to volume production.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in material management, supply chain, or purchasing in a high-volume hardware industry.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for complex manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of Engineering component matrices for qualification processes.
- Experience in launching high-volume consumer electronics products.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Skills in data modeling and tools for efficiency improvement.
- A BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
