Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for prototype robotics structures and mechanisms.
- Support prototype fabrication and assembly processes with internal and external partners.
- Conduct performance testing and failure analysis, including building test fixtures and analyzing data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers to deliver comprehensive technical solutions.
- Engage in sustaining engineering by troubleshooting mechanical failures and implementing design improvements.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, specifically in Machine Design.
- Proficiency in designing complex electromechanical assemblies (e.g., robotics, automotive).
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Experience with prototyping processes and materials.
- Ability to manage time-sensitive projects while balancing evolving priorities.
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
