Responsibilities
- Mechanical engineering and packaging for lightweight, swappable battery technology.
- Planning and executing on performance, validation, endurance, and life cycle testing.
- Troubleshooting mechanical failures and implementing improved designs.
- Lead contract manufacturers and scaling partners for high volume production.
- Collaborate with the reliability team for high-reliability design practices.
- Build test fixtures, design tests, and analyze data to refine designs.
- Design of battery docking and interface components and other humanoid robot systems as needed.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with lightweight custom battery development and thermal management.
- Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, Siemens NX or similar CAD tools.
- Experience in DOE’s, performance, and validation testing.
- Skilled in tolerance analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Experience in managing time-sensitive projects with evolving priorities.
