Responsibilities
- Mechanical engineering and packaging for lightweight, swappable battery technology.
- Planning and executing performance, validation, endurance, and life cycle testing.
- Troubleshooting mechanical failures and implementing improved designs.
- Collaborating with scaling partners for high-volume production.
- Working closely with the reliability team for high-reliability design practices.
- Building test fixtures, creating test plans, and analyzing data.
- Designing battery docking and interface components, as well as other humanoid robot systems.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
- BS degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with lightweight custom battery development and thermal management.
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, Siemens NX, or similar CAD tools.
- Experience in DOE’s, performance, and validation testing.
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
