Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary cross-functional interface with various teams including product design and engineering.
- Design custom moving coil and MEMS speakers, optimizing components for acoustic performance and reliability.
- Present findings from simulations and experiments to gain buy-in from cross-functional teams.
- Conduct multi-physic simulations of transducers and optimize sub-components.
- Benchmark and verify transducer performance using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to establish test specifications.
- Evaluate and design new materials and technologies for audio applications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field.
- 6+ years of experience with micro-speakers and transducer design.
- 3+ years of cross-functional experience on consumer hardware products.
- Proficiency in failure analysis and data interpretation.
- Preferred: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Acoustics or Physics, and experience with COMSOL software.
