Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary cross-functional interface with various teams including PD, ID, EE, and TPM.
- Design custom moving coil and MEMS speakers, optimizing components for cost and acoustic performance.
- Present findings and recommendations from simulations and measurements to secure buy-in from cross-functional teams.
- Conduct simulations of transducers and optimize sub-components using tools like MicroCap, PSpice, and MATLAB.
- Benchmark and verify transducer performance using industry-standard tools.
- Facilitate factory test design and specifications for manufacturing partners.
- Evaluate and design-in new materials and technologies for audio applications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience with micro-speakers and transducer design.
- 3+ years of experience working on consumer hardware products.
- Proficiency in failure analysis and data analysis.
- Preferred: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Acoustics or Physics.
- Preferred: Experience with COMSOL and audio architectural design.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
